Why We Started Perspective Windows and Doors (And the One Thing We Keep Seeing in Phoenix Homes)

There is a pattern in Phoenix homes that we kept seeing before we started this company. Beautiful houses. Well-maintained. Sometimes million-dollar properties. Backyards with pools, fire features, ramadas, desert landscaping — outdoor spaces that cost six figures to build out.
And then a single sliding glass door connecting all of it to the inside of the house. Six feet wide. Sometimes less.
The Disconnection
The owners of those homes would walk us through the yard, proud of it, and then we would step back inside and you could feel it — the disconnection. The yard was for guests and parties. The inside of the house was for normal life. They were not one space. There was a wall between them, and the wall was doing what walls do: separating things.
The homeowners had not really thought about it that way. The door was just the door. The wall was just the wall. But once you name it, you cannot un-name it. The outdoor space they had invested in was not actually connected to the home they lived in.
What Was Missing in the Market
The frustrating part was that the fix existed. Multipanel sliding door systems had been available for years. Hotels used them. High-end custom homes were built with them. But for existing Phoenix homeowners who wanted to retrofit one into a house that was already built, the options were limited.
General contractors treated it as an add-on — something they could do but not something they specialized in. Window replacement companies only wanted to swap what was already there. Nobody was doing this specific work well: cutting the back wall open, framing it correctly, installing a door big enough for the house to actually breathe, and finishing it so it looked like it was always there.
What We Built
Perspective Windows and Doors was built to do one thing. We cut walls open and replace them with something better. Every project we take on is a wall that should be a door, a window, or a pass-through — and is not yet.
The multipanel sliding door is our signature project. It is the work that changes how a home feels most dramatically. When the back wall opens up and the living room becomes part of the patio, the house becomes a different place to live.
We are licensed, bonded, and insured in Arizona. We handle the structural work, the framing, the door installation, and the stucco finish — all in-house, all under one warranty.
If you have a back wall that should be a door, we would like to come take a look.
